- All you are missing is voicemail support and (optionally) DSVD/VoiceView
- support (in the Sportster Vi 33.6 DSVD). Incidentally, to add voicemail,
- DSVD, and VoiceView support to ANY Sportster Vi under Windows 95,
- you must also get UniModem/V, an updated version of Windows 95's
- UniModem driver (fortunately, it's available from http://www.microsoft.com
- /windows and ftp.microsoft.com/softlib/mslfiles as UNIMODV.EXE, a self-
- extracting file). Surprisingly, UniModem/V is a good download even
- if you DON'T have a voicemail/VoiceView/DSVD-capable modem, because
- UniModem/V also supports faster connection speeds than standard
- UniModem (since I upgraded to UniModem/V, I had a string
- of seventeen CONSECUTIVE 28800 connections, over two days, to the
- same V.34 modem, whereas I had ZERO before the upgrade; what makes
- this a real surprise is that MY modem is NOT V.34, but V.FC (specifically,
- Zoltrix ZX-288ACi) and the called modem is a Zoom V34X under Linux).
